An amazing wedding in Guelph, possibly the most beautiful wedding I have shot. I was second shooter for Julie Broadbent on this one and I think our shots are amazing, although photography is easy when all the elements are there:
- Beautiful, happy couple
- Beautiful wedding design
- An amazing DJ, not just the track playing DJ, I am talking about the mixing, turn-table kind.
I’ll stop talking, let’s get into some images.
Beautiful colors, I knew at the start of this day that it was going to be amazing…I was pumped!! – FYI, there was no post production done to this file, those colors are real!

While Julie and I were in the church, I managed to grab this quick shot of the best man before the ceremony.
Turn off that flash! – Who needs flash when you have this amazing light!

Fast forward to the reception!
While Julie was shooting some fun shots of the wedding party, I went to the reception area to set up a photo booth for some prom style photos. When I got there, the staff let me in to do shots before anyone got in, which was amazing. I basically put everything down and started shooting, and not just regular shooting, I could get crazy creative with all these amazing elements all in one place. Back when I said great wedding design, I meant it! – Can you believe it, this reception was held in a tent and the catering company not only did the food but the overall design and layout. I think the company was called “Platters”.

I could probably post like a hundred more images, all showing different characteristics of this tent, but this post has to end somewhere!
After I took a few shots, I went back to help Julie shoot the formals. She found an amazing location for this and the backdrop was perfect. I pretty much helped her organize the thing by calling the names and herding the people (as I call it). Since I was only calling out names, I said “why not”, while Julie shoots away, I’ll get some shots on the 45 degree angle!

While Julie shot the bride / bridesmaids, I shot the guys. These guys are amazing, they say they have never modeled, but I don’t believe them at all.
Now for some final images of the night.

The DJ really was that good, I have not seen such enthusiasm and energy – I almost wonder if he even needed music to get people to that dance floor!
